I think I’m in love with you,
And not the sweet, heart-melting kind,
Not that crap they spew on TV and movies,
No,
This kind of love,
I think is toxic,
Deadly, fatal the people we were before us,
It brings out the worst,
We yell and fight, we care too much about the small things,
That we end up fighting over anything,
We curse each other’s names,
And wonder if this is what love is,
I think I’m in love with you,
Actually, I know I am,
Because I would never stay through the storms if I couldn’t see the sun,
You make me smile, laugh as we fight,
And the tears you cause turn into watery giggles,
And you piss me off to no end,
I wan to strangle you more times then not,
As I assume the feeling is mutual,
But god we love,
We love hard, rough and raw,
And I think, this is what love is meant to be for me and you,
Passion and brutal and honest and real,
So, so real.

“Because I would never stay through the storms if I couldn’t see the sun”. That line hit my soul so hard. Great poem by the way

Guys— the importance of being good in the sack! 😅 Can make up for no end of flaws 😄.
I can see the attraction of this kind of relationship, although I’d run a mile from one like this myself, lol. I think 🤔
